We promote cooperative action for the benefit of current and future generations.
The Rideau Roundtable is a not-for-profit organization that has been a working group for over 25 years. Our core mission is to organize and participate in projects and initiatives that educate people about the Rideau Waterway’s value and resources.
Our programs include heritage tourism, environmental stewardship, preservation of historical landscapes, cultural awareness of Indigenous and colonial perspectives, outdoor education, recreation, and adventure.
We engage regional residents, communities, organizations, First Nations, and government agencies in active participation to protect the heritage, natural, economic, recreational, and environmental values of the unique and globally significant Rideau Waterway.

This song and this video are written, sung and assembled by one of our Board of Directors, Richard Doherty. It is this passion for the outdoors, enjoying the company of friends, and time spent on the water that has driven this organization for over 25 years.

As most of our activities currently surround outdoor events and canoe tours, we have nothing left on our calendar this year. Check back in the spring for dates and a more robust Rideau Experience Canoe Tour Calendar.
